Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on the location you choose, the length of your tour will vary:

- Our tours that launch from Bird Key Park are roughly 3 hours long.

- Our tours through Neal Preserve are roughly 2 hours long.

- Our tour in Emerson Point Preserve will last about 2.5 hours.

- Our tour in Lemon Bay (Stump Pass) is roughly 4 hours.

Drinking water, Sunscreen, Hat, Sunglasses and Shoes that can be worn in the water (flip-flops will work). Some guests choose to bring snacks and occasionally beverages other than water.

In the spring and summer, we recommend lightweight clothing and swimwear. We commonly get out of the kayaks and in the water on warmer days of the year. In the winter time, we recommend wearing warmer clothing that can withstand mild splashing. Even in the wintertime we will be walking in water about ankle deep to get in and out of kayaks so shoes that can get wet are a must. Please be prepared for lots of sun! Hats, eyewear and sun protection are a must.

Dry bags (for small personal items), personal floatation devices (lifejackets), high-end pedal kayaks, and a smiling tour guide! For our snorkeling tours, we provide all necessary equipment. However, you are always welcome to use your personal snorkeling equipment if you'd like.

Our locations at Bird Key Park and Neal Preserve do not have restrooms available. Our location in Emerson Point Preserve does have restrooms available at the entrance to the park.

This varies depending on which location you choose. Our kayak trailer has a distinct blue camouflage pattern paint job so we generally recommend you keep an eye out for it when you arrive at the location you booked. Your booking confirmation will outline the exact location for whichever option you choose. Some of our locations actually offer multiple launch points which allows us to be flexible depending on weather and tidal conditions. We generally try to reach out to our guests by phone the day of the tour to confirm our meeting point.
